This month the world of film and the world itself lost a bright light in Chadwick Boseman, who lost a quiet battle with cancer on August 28th. Boseman’s short but influential acting career left behind a mark not only concerned with the elevation of his own celebrity but his community- the black community, through his portrayal of black icons in sports, politics and music and strong leads otherwise. Boseman led a life off the screen that set a powerful example for people regardless of skin color. In memoriam of his life, Pastèque presents a selection of films that highlight the late great Chadwick Boseman.
